He is the recipient of the Society of Illustrators' Richard Gangel Award for 2020. His art direction work has also received recognition from AIGA, the Spectrum Awards, Communication Arts, American Illustration, Print, and the Eisner Awards, among others.
Speaking engagements have included ICON: The Illustration Conference, AI-AP's Big Talk, New York Comic Con, and Miami Book Fair International.
He is also the author of the coffee-table art book Criterion Designs, and the co-author of the graphic novels Action Journalism with Kate Kelly (with Miklós Felvidéki), and Liar's Kiss (with Jhomar Soriano)
